About

The roots of Colorado Cutthroat Connection started with the development of a multi-game tournament called The Colorado Cutthroat Console Tournament. The tournament was one of the first of its kind in Colorado featuring a cast of fighting games larger than any other tournament at its time. It proved to be a huge success, with over 100 participants crowding a small local game store to capacity. No one had any idea that the event would have such a turn out. Since then the founder Gregory Richardson and members of the Colorado gaming community decide to take gaming in Colorado to another level, playing a more active role in all tournament, player and community development in Colorado. By January 1, 2006, the Colorado Cutthroat Console Tournament expanded its operations to develop the Colorado Cutthroat Connection, an organization dedicated to using competitive and casual based gaming events to education young men and women on all aspects gaming. The overall goal to show young men and women that video games is more than just playing them and you can build a career and future in the gaming industry other than programming games. Overall this idea can focus and strengthen the community as a whole.

With the start of this new corporation the Colorado Cutthroat Connection forged another organization called the National Video Game Association (NVGA) bringing the Colorado idea for gaming to life on a national circuit. The NVGA dedicates itself to providing education on all aspects of gaming, which include game development, gaming business, competition, marketing technology development and other avenues that affect the gaming industry.
