What
is the Colorado Cutthroat Connection
The Colorado Cutthroat Connection (C3) is home of the Cutthroat Chapter for the NVGA (National Video Game Association). C3 is an organization that will allow new and old players to experience all tournaments in the state of Colorado and beyond. C3 gives all players the ability too not only be in charge of the tournament scene that they live in they can find players for both casual and professional play, gain experience to become one of the best players around, give opporturnities to those people who want to develope tournaments in Colorado, as well as reward those people who take an active role in the gaming community. Wether that be competing, providing excellent artwork to the community, hosting tournaments or simply supporting the tournament scene there is something here for everyone.C3 also gives players the ability to travel in state and out of state to represent your state for the glory.
That's easy!! If you are looking for tournament play or just people to play with you will be able to upload contact info onto the website. From there you can use forums to talk and chat with each other.
C3 caters to all console based games that our tournament weekly based off the concencus of players in Colorado. Here is the games that our main tournament attractions in Colorado right now:

director.
How
do become a tournament director and what do I get out of it?
Being a tournament director allows you to both get a chance to establish a game of your choice as a main game attraction, help develop the gaming community around you, but also allow you to get some money out of it as well. For any tournament that a tournament director runs they will be allotted 10% of the entry fee for that particular tournament.
So for example, say you have a tournament that has
2 games featured in it and your are running both tournaments.
Both tournaments will require $5 each to the venue. So with 20
seperate people entered in each tournament (40 people total) there
will be $100 gained for the venue and $100 in the tournament pot
for each game thus $200 dollars goes to the venue and there is
$00 in the pot for each game. In this situation if the tournament
director is just directing the tournament AND NOT PLAYING they
will get 10% of the venue money based off how many people enter
the tournament that they are directing. This 10% comes from the
VENUE MONEY NOT THE POT MONEY so the pot money is NOT affected.
So in this situation the tournament director would get $10 for
each tournament. So at the end of the
day the venue would take home $180.
This gives tournament directors some reinbursement for the time
that they are putting into provide a tournament to the community
plus it motivates tournament directors to work there hardest to
get as many people there as possible. This way the more
people you get the more money you make. Price
breakdown is subject to change
Responsibilities for a tournament director:
Responsibilities of Venue and C3:
Not ahearing to these responsibilites only
hurts you as a director and the group that you support so again
this is a way to make a name for yourself so if you help yourself
we will help you!!!
How does the Ranking System work!
When you participate in tournaments you get points for joining the tournament. These points determine you player rank in Colorado and all over the nation. Go here to look at the point breakdown!
Can
I hold tournaments at my house for points?
Yes, all rankings and points
will be based upon tournament play under the supervision of C3
and those people affliated with it. All you have to do
is making the tournmaent open to all people. That simple!!
One of things that we trying to do is make this chapter the most
competitive out of all the chapters in
NVGA. With that in mind, we sponsor players to go in state and
out of state to represent the chapter, but there are stipulations
and benefits to being sponsored:
T1: *Pay for entry free to tournaments
T2: **Pay for entry fee and food
T3: ***Pay for entry fee and food/travel (FULL Sponsorship)
